Why We Run
Running is hard. Addiction recovery is even harder.
You can’t get up one day and run a marathon. In recovery, you can’t say one day, “I can stay sober for the rest of my life.”
It takes one day at a time, one choice at a time to show up and grow and be in healthy community.
The Portland Rescue Mission running club is a place where volunteers and participants alike can run together in community, grow in wholistic health, and work through the hard stuff of life while on the road — together.
