Are you ready for Christmas in July? You should be! Portland Rescue Mission supporters can shop this summer and give to the Mission through Amazon on Prime Day. If you are an Amazon Prime member, on July 15—this coming Wednesday—prepare for what Amazon says to be “a global shopping event, with more deals than Black Friday.” If you plan to shop during the big event, make sure to use AmazonSmile.
AmazonSmile is Amazon’s alternative retail site where users can select their non-profit organization of choice. This is one of the easiest, most convenient ways for you to give to Portland Rescue Mission. By selecting us as your charity of choice, 0.5 percent of all your AmazonSmile-eligible purchases will go directly to supporting our Hope Ministries, Pathway Ministries and New Life Ministries—at absolutely no extra charge to you! All you have to do is say you want to support us on AmazonSmile. Use that version of Amazon in the exact same way as you would the regular site with all the same benefits and privileges.
Another easy way to support Portland Rescue Mission is through our other shopping partners, like Fred Meyer Community Rewards. After you log into your rewards account and select Portland Rescue Mission as your charity of choice, Fred Meyer will make a donation every time you shop at your neighborhood store. You get to keep all your Fred Meyer Reward points.
Outside of those two retail programs, you can also support Portland Rescue Mission through Add A Meal (at Whole Foods and New Seasons) and Fox 12 Daily Deals.
