Project Christmas Care: Make people in need feel loved and remembered

Project Christmas Care Outline-01For many of the men and women in our New Life Ministries and Connect Ministry, the holidays remind them of dark and painful times. Their pasts are often filled with memories of homelessness, isolation, agony and discomfort.  With your help, this Christmas season offers new hope, and the chance to make new memories.

Your gift today toward Project Christmas Care provides an extra dose of good tidings and joy for the men, women and children we serve at Shepherd’s Door, The Harbor and the Burnside Shelter. Your special gift of $40 will purchase a meaningful gift for a child, man or woman in our recovery programs. For many, your gift might very well be the first one they’ve received in many years.

Will you help make a man, woman or child feel loved and remembered with a special Christmas gift?

Project Christmas Care is launching TODAY! With your help between now and “Giving Tuesday” (one week from today), you can make a huge difference in the lives of our residents. We would be so blessed if we could not only meet our goal of 160 gifts of $40 each, but surpass it.

And it all starts with you!

Use your Project Christmas Care gift to honor someone you know this holiday season. You can print out a special Christmas card that will let them know that you’ve given a gift in their name. Simply add your email into the form below, and we’ll send you a link to print out the card to put in a stocking of someone you love this year.

Our three-month Connect Ministry serves up to 36 men and 16 women at our Burnside Shelter, and is part of our Pathway Ministries. It’s designed to help people quickly transition off the streets and into stable housing and/or permanent employment. Our New Life Ministries help as many as 100 men, women and children overcome the storm and struggles of homelessness and addiction, and are designed for complete and total life transformation. Our New Life Ministry for men is at The Harbor, while our New Life Ministry for women and children is at Shepherd’s Door (both located in northeast Portland).
