Our winter shelter is opening today, expanding our nightly bed count to 172 beds for the fall and winter seasons to combat the colder weather that makes life on the streets so difficult for our homeless friends. Getting one of these beds for the night can be the difference between life and death for a person in need.
Despite our increased capacity, there will still be many men and women sleeping outside each night in the frigid air. When it gets cold, having a good blanket is vitally important. Thousands of people will come to us in the next several months seeking a warm blanket, and we’ll do our best to supply them with one. But we absolutely cannot do it without your help. We’re entering this season with an already-low blanket stock, and we need generous people like you to step up and either give blankets or donate financially to help us provide them.
