Did You Know?

Portland Rescue Mission is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We do not receive government funding and are not a United Way agency.

We rely completely on voluntary support from individuals, businesses, foundations, organizations and churches.

We do not charge any fees for the services we provide.

We are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

We serve breakfast and dinner FREE every day, not just on special occasions.

Anyone committed to change is welcome to our 12- to 18-month recovery program.

Do you know someone who needs help overcoming homelessness or addiction?
Encourage them to call us or stop in to talk to one of our recovery counselors.

At Portland Rescue Mission, guests find a loving environment, grace for their mistakes, practical skills, freedom from addiction, and renewed hope that they can change and make better choices.

 

Food, shelter or other emergency services:

Call our Burnside Shelter. Breakfast and dinner available daily to all at 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM. 24/7 restrooms for men and women. Overnight shelter available for men only. Referrals to area agencies.

Men’s Recovery Program:

Call our Burnside Shelter or pick up a Men’s Recovery Intake Application on site. 12- to 18-month faith-based residential recovery for men.

Women and Children’s Recovery Program:

Call Shepherd’s Door 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. 12- to 18-month faith-based residential recovery for women and children. State-certified childcare facility on site.

Knowing that we can’t meet every need, we partner with area organizations and social services to help homeless and addicted men and women get the services they need.

Portland offers a wide variety of resources for those facing unemployment, homelessness, addiction, poverty or mental illness.
