What does a homeless person really need?

When people come through our doors, they’re often poor, hungry, sick, sleepless, afraid and lonely.

They can see no way out of their circumstances.

But your support gives them a hot meal, a warm shower, a safe bed and a welcoming smile.

Often, these simple acts of compassion help men and women take their first steps toward a life free of addiction and homelessness.

“I hadn’t eaten in probably three or four days. Just that simple offer of food was huge – that somebody cared enough to meet my needs.”
~ Tim, New Life Ministry Resident

We serve hot, nutritious meals — up to 700 a day, 365 days a year. Breakfast is served daily to everyone at 7:00 a.m. Dinner served daily to everyone at 6:00 p.m. Lunch is served Saturday and Sunday at 12:30 p.m.

Shelter:

Up to 120 men have short-term shelter with us each night. Clothing and showers are available to overnight guests. Overnight shelter available for men only, based on a nightly lottery system (held at 6 p.m. ; TB card required). From Nov-March, we open extra space for men to sleep on mats (lottery held at 8 p.m.). Also offer referrals to area agencies.

We provide safe, secure, 24-hour restrooms for men, women, and children. This restores dignity and allows us to reach people we may not otherwise meet.
