Top Volunteer Needs

These are the top needs at the Portland Rescue Mission.

BURNSIDE MISSION:

• Answer phones and assist people at the Contact Office
• Be a positive presence for guests during as an Evening Swing Shift Assistants

SHEPHERD'S DOOR:

• Host a meal by purchasing and preparing a meal for 75 people
• Help our cooks prepare and serve meals as an Assistant Prep Cook
• Answer phones and assist people as a daytime or evening Receptionist
• Provide a safe, caring environment for kids to learn as a Children's Center Classroom Assistant

ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE:

• Assist with assembling mailings and other office projects.

WAREHOUSE:

• Pick up donations and transport them between facilities as a Delivery Driver
• “Learn the ropes” and then lead other warehouse volunteers as a Sorter Team Leader
