The Portland Rescue Mission was founded in 1949 and is dedicated to breaking the devastating cycle of homelessness. Staff and volunteers focus on total life recovery for homeless men and women seeking to better their situation. Programs include recovery and rehabilitation from addictive behaviors as well as coaching and vocational training. In addition, the Mission serves almost 200,000 meals each year to homeless people in the Portland area.
